Beautiful and quiet hotel with a stunning view of the surrounding nature. The Japanese room was spacious and had a private balcony with an amazing hot tub. The staff was very accommodating and served us a fantastic breakfast. The location was perfect for a peaceful getaway and had walking paths for exercise.
There was nothing we didn't like.

At this hotel, I experienced top-notch room advantages such as a private balcony hot tub, incredible Japanese breakfast and dinner, and snacks left in the room in the evening. The public baths were peaceful and not crowded, with an excellent view of the valley and forest. The quiet atmosphere and beautiful surroundings made it easy to relax and reflect.
Perhaps, due to being outside, the mineral spring water wasn't quite as hot as other hot springs I've visited. Also, the hotel is a bit far from major cities and may require multiple train transfers to reach.

Located on top of a mountain, the hotel offers a peaceful location with stunning views of the surrounding forest and valley. The staff is accommodating and offers a free shuttle down the mountain to the local train station. The rooms offer the option of a private balcony mineral hot tub and a beautiful Japanese aesthetic, while the food is beautifully served in a traditional way.
Some guests may find the hotel challenging to reach, especially from major cities, and should allow extra time for travel.

The hotel was situated in a beautiful location which allowed us to enjoy stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The staff was friendly and hospitable, always trying to make us feel comfortable. We liked the Japanese breakfast that was served in our room. It was a good way to start the day and try local cuisine.
The hotel was quite difficult to get to and away from the main city, which made it a hassle to spend the day exploring the area. , we found the beds uncomfortable and had trouble sleeping throughout the night.

Everything about this mountain top ryokan felt special and honest, yet luxurious. The staff were amazingly kind and helpful, and the setting was fantastic with stunning views of the surrounding valley and forest. The traditional Japanese room was beautiful and well-equipped, with delightful hot tubs. The public bath was great, with indoor and outdoor possibilities. The food at the ryokan was incredible, with a feast of local delicacies served in a private room.
The town is limited in attractions, so if you're looking to explore more widely, this location may not suit you. , transportation to the ryokan can be a bit of an adventure, involving a bullet train and regional and local trains, but the hotel does offer a free shuttle service from the local train station.
